Marketing Portfolio

Client: Grand Rapids Ballet

Objective: Increase follower count and engagement across all media platforms, establish and maintain baseline metrics, and increase brand awareness throughout West Michigan and ballet community.

Methods:

- Post consistent quality content (images and video) of the dancers rehearsing in studio followed up with high quality production images and video.

- Produce engaging and unique content for donors, audience members, young dancers and potential audience members

- Consistently push knowledge the general audience may be unaware of I.E. company going on tour, facts about dancer's lives, interviews with visiting choreographers, 'behind the scenes' footage and images.

- Create and host new events and live-streams of rehearsals allowing audience members to view and learn about dance in a different environment

- Beer & Ballet events partnering with local breweries

- Blogs: Create consistent, simple and informative blog posts for our upcoming Reps and events at the end. Continue to push knowledge the audience may be unaware of and share insights into ballet, and what the dancers are performing.

Results:

  • Increase in follower count by over 30% in 12 months

  • Media requests and features from Freed of London on Facebook and Instagram. ( Freed of London is on of the largest pointe shoe manufacturer with over 12k likes on Facebook and 25.4k followers on Instagram)

  • Increased brand awareness throughout West Michigan and the ballet community including:

    • Pointe Magazine Instagram takeover and feature (Pointe Magazine, is one of the dance community’s largest publications with 126k followers on Instagram and 589k likes on Facebook)

    • Increased presence in local media with Blue Lake Public Radio, local news outlets and and magazines.

  • Increased touring throughout West Michigan

  • Increase in dancers who are interested in working for Grand Rapids Ballet

  • New partnerships with local non-profit organizations and corporations including Grand Rapids Symphony, Festival of the Arts, Frederik Meijer Gardens, Art Prize (One of the largest art competitions in the United States with roughly 500k attendees) and community outreach for young audience members.
