About Me

About me

Biography

In 2003 it all began. A tiny British girl with bob, glasses and little blue leotard stepped into her first ballet class and fell in love with dance. One day prior, skipping and leaping around our school gymnasium, Pacific Northwest ballet chose me to participate in their DanceChance program. I had no idea that it would lead to 16 years dedicated to ballet filled with summers spent all over the US, new experiences at home and abroad and god knows how many pointe shoes.

In high school I realized that pursuing a career in ballet was something that I was wholeheartedly dedicated to achieving. Thanks to running start I spent much of my senior year of high school in the studio instead of in the classroom. Immediately after graduating I joined the professional division at Pacific Northwest Ballet, spending the next 2 years performing with the company, preparing to audition for ballet companies and even dancing in Germany with Dresden Semperoper Ballett.

Many dancers know how difficult audition season can be especially for young dancers. I spent all of winter and spring 2017 auditioning around the globe for the chance at contract with a ballet company. I was lucky enough to be offered an apprenticeship with Grand Rapids ballet and to Michigan I went.

Little did I know, I was entering the two most challenging years of my life. Luckily I discovered a whole new passion while in Grand Rapids, I began working in the marketing department at Grand Rapids Ballet. Through this experience, I adopted the mantle of Social Media Coordinator and Photographer/Videographer for Grand Rapids Ballet in addition to my dancing responsibilities. Realizing that this passion was growing I began to wonder if this could become my second stage, post-dancing career and passion that so many teachers had taught was important to have as a dancer.

I ended up applying to university of Washington on a bit of whim, not expecting to have a chance at admission let alone actual attendance. With credits from Seattle University (thank you PNB’s Second Stage program) I was successfully admitted to University of Washington as a transfer student. I couldn’t be more excited to take the next step in pursuing a Bachelors degree in marketing to continue my second career in the marketing and business sector.
